Waste No More Time Arguing What a Good Man Should Be. Be One.
Hello, I am
Walter Dailey II.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. I graduated from Floyd E. Kellam High School in 2000. After failing to make it to college football, I joined the United States Navy, where I have been serving for the past 20 years. I have been stationed in Norfolk for 5 years, Wilmington, North Carolina for 3 years, Yokosuka, Japan for 8 years, and have been in Mayport, Florida since 2019. I recently got divorced after an 18-year-long marriage and have two wonderful sons.
My reason for starting Mentitled is to encourage men to confront their problems head-on, no matter the circumstances.
Throughout my career in the U.S. Navy, I have met thousands of people. We all have problems outside of our jobs, regardless of our work performance. Everyone has a different life at home and faces personal challenges. It deeply saddens me that I have known members of the service who have committed suicide, and I have heard of many more. This issue weighs heavily on me, as I once found myself in a dark place in my life and can empathize with them. While I believe that taking one’s own life is a selfish and weak decision, I understand the struggle associated with it. Regardless of my feelings on the matter, I am inspired to help men be better. A true man cannot allow himself to be emotionally defeated by any circumstance. A man who can control his emotions is truly powerful and must be strong because his family depends on him for strength. This is the inspiration behind Mentitled.
Our Community
Our community is a constantly growing movement.
We are here to help and hold one another accountable in hopes to become the best versions of ourselves. Becoming a better man helps the next man. If we are all strong links the chain will be unbreakable. We will help those who are down and need support, as there will be times where we need it in the future.
