Arguing What a Good
Man Should Be.
Be One.
- Marcus Aurelius
We are a community that aims to bring attention to and hopefully end male suicide by embracing stoic principles.
The true meaning of Stoicism is “The endurance of pain or hardship without the display of feelings and without complaint.”
Our goal is to help every man realize that he himself holds the power to change his situation and become the best version of himself.
In today’s society, we as men are tasked to do what must be done, not just for ourselves, but for our families—wives, children, bosses—and we do not have the luxury of empathy, compassion, or sympathy from others.
Many of us deal with depression, anxiety, obesity, financial hardships, broken hearts, and other factors that affect our minds and motivation. The five principles of Stoicism give us a roadmap on how a true man can deal with adversities while becoming the best version of himself:
Manage your expectations and judgments.
Be realistic about what you have the power to change.
Understand the meaning of equanimity and practice it, especially in negative situations.
Call out your emotions for exactly what they are.
Live in harmony with nature, particularly human nature.
Get Involved
By joining our community, you are making a commitment to actively engage with and contribute to our cause. Our specially designed shirts serve as a powerful symbol of your personal dedication to overcoming challenges and not succumbing to them. As a tightly knit community, we foster a culture of mutual support, accountability, and motivation. Looking ahead, we are planning to expand our outreach through the launch of a podcast, an influential social media presence, and the organization of group meetings and events. We ALL must be involved. Get active by becoming a better you. Become a better father, husband, friend. Become a hero and remember you do not have to wear a cape in order to save a life.

T-shirt: The shirts will be either black or white
The “mentitled” badge will be placed directly in the center of the chest. This symbolizes our ability to bear the weight of the world on our chest and still survive. Down the spine of the shirt, the letters “MANTFUP” will be displayed, meaning “to man the f*** up.” This is intentionally placed on the spine to remind us that we need to have backbone and stand up for what we believe in.
Hello, I am
Walter Dailey II.
I was originally born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. I graduated from Floyd E. Kellam High School in 2000. After failing to make it to play football at the college level, I decided to join the United States Navy and have been currently serving for 20 years. I have been stationed in Norfolk for 5 years, Wilmington, North Carolina for 3 years, Yokosuka, Japan for 8 years and have been in Mayport, Florida since 2019. I am recently divorced after an 18-year marriage and have two amazing sons.
My reason for starting Mentitled is to encourage men to face their problems head-on, despite any circumstance. My goal is to raise awareness to the male suicide rate, and help those that need it.
